Hi, I am Dr. Gerard Imber.
A quick word about moisturizers and sunblock, a question that is always asked is do moisturizers with sunblock actually work?
Yes, they do. That is the short answer.
The long answer is that if you use a moisturizer every day, and you use one with sun block in it, you’re not going to forget to use your sunblock. So, it’s really wonderful, preventative device.
Most moisturizers with sunblock in them use various chemical-type sunblock which are very, very effective.
They don’t often have titanium or zinc in them, which I think are terrific in sun blocks but when you put them in a moisturizer, it becomes greasy and it doesn’t have that elegant feel of a moisturizer.
So, I suggest any moisturizer that you like as long as it has an SPF 30 in it as well, you will be doing yourself a very, very, big favor.
